Allergy & Immunology Associates of Michigan

I’ve been a patient of this practice for many years (with a lapse during COVID as my asthma was very mild at that time). Recently I started having significant issues with my asthma again, and I also had allergy testing. Every single staff member has been fantastic- Dr. Song was very thorough, his PA Maggie was as well. The tech who did my allergy testing, the tech who did my breathing tests, the receptionists, as well as the shot nurses have all been very professional and kind. I highly recommend the west Ann Arbor office location !

The receptionist which is a call center service, told me this office knew all about MCAS and mold toxicity. I should have seen the doctors that understand it, a functional medicine doctor! I went here because Blue Cross does not cover functional medicine doctors and I was led to believe this place could do the same but only have a typical $20 copay. The doctor and staff were very friendly, but the doctor told me she knows nothing about mold toxicity and the 30+ list of MCAS symptoms myself and my 9 year old child were having. She told me to see a neurologist. This was frustrating because I took time out of my work day and I was falsely led to believe they could help. Then I got the $300 copay bill in the mail and was livid!! I could have spent $150 more for functional medicine and got my a

You’ll soon see why this place has less than 3 stars. They only care about the $$$ Although the doctor was kind the staff and this office is clearly about making money only. They have a strict policy about not continuing to have you as a patient if there are rescheduled or cancelled appointments - even if the reschedule or cancellation is requested by their side. Does that make sense??? I was requested twice by their office to cancel the appt for my child. The third time I called to reschedule the appt because I had to travel for work, they told me that if I choose to reschedule with over 3 weeks notice to their office we would no longer be welcome as patients. Go to the Ann Arbor location. They are lovely and extremely knowledgeable. Dr Song, and especially his PA are very thorough in their assessment and explanations. They found a connection to a GI condition that I have and explained how the two interact with each other. They quickly came up with a treatment plan and instructions on how to proceed. I was extremely impressed at how they made that connection—it was like an episode of House. TAKE NOTE: I’ve gone to the Bingham Farms location and had a very negative experience. It’s kind of run down and the dr there was not very kind—at one point even talked down to me. Go to the Ann Arbor location! It’s great.

We were referred to this practice by our daughter's primary care physician. This team is OUTSTANDING. We got an appointment within 24 hours and Doc was very friendly and efficient. Our daughter was tested for several allergic reactions and was ultimately diagnosed with sensitivity to seasonal changes that trigger her asthma vs. being severely allergic to any one thing. This clarity was VERY helpful for us. We moved from FL to MI and our daughter was on steroids 4x her first winter bc every seasonal change caused her asthma to flair up. Thankfully that concern has been alleviated. Very grateful for this team!
