Dr Pappas needs to improve his medical skills. He plays mind games with the patient, as if the office visit were some type of contest. If you have an addiction or a chronic illness, find another doctor. He should not be practicing medicine. You deserve better.

I havr been with Dr. Pappas for 2 years now. He's amazing. He has a great personality and he's easy to talk to. He has these eyes and this energy about him that feels like you can tell him anything with him judging you silently. I've experienced that with loads of doctors in the past. The only thing I get a little disappointed about is that he likes to be wham, bam, and done. He's thorough, but I'm just a huge talker. I could talk you to death if given the chance. I know he's a doctor and has a job to do, and that's OK because he does his job well. Because of Dr. Pappas writing me a referral to neurology, I now have the most thorough and incredible neurologist I could ever ask for. VFC in general is an amazing clinic. Dr. Alexander Pappas supposedly has a specialty in Addiction Medicine. If you are an addict, do not go to see him. He is very inexperienced and he does not know what he is doing. Drug addiction is a very complex issue, and you need a competent team working with you. You are fighting against the clock. Do not waste your time on him. All reviews regarding him are accurate. I pray that you read this before you visit him. Reading a google review can potentially save you life.

Dr Pappas is a GREAT Doctor. He seems to genuinely care about your well being, always seems to have upbeat positive vibes, he’s just an all around good Dr - I’ve never had a problem with him at all. Don’t listen to the negative reviews.

Dr Alexander Pappas does not know what he is doing. He is not able to answer basic questions that an experienced doctor would know. He tries to cover up his incompetence by making jokes. During the "physical assessment" he auscultated my lungs in one place, which was the right upper lobe. He did not auscultate the rest of the right lung, and none of the left lung. If you think there is something wrong with this, you would be right, because it is medically incorrect. During the office visit I told him that I regularly take my blood pressure at home and it has been running high, and I mentioned that I may need additional BP medicine.
