Everything you fear in a nursing home, plus a scam. So my father was in the ICU for over a month with aspiration pneumonia. They said it's likely he'll just keep getting it and it would eventually kill him, but he wanted to fight. When he was finally cleared of the first round, Medicare refused to pay for the hospital's first four suggestions. This was number five for a reason. The entrance is opulent to convince visitors that the place is well furnished. The patient rooms are very different. The first time he was there, the call button didn't work. I had to go find a nurse. If I wasn't there, he would've had to wait God knows how long for attention. Later when I tried to tried to go wash my hands in the bathroom, I found the sink didn't work. Our son was in an serious accident and he requires total care. He has special needs and is now a patient there since May 30th. The staff is excellent, very caring to meet his needs and learn his ways. Communication is very good and we are thankful for their attentive care.

After neglecting my mom for 4 years, they tried to extort over $2,800 from me. Said we 'owed' it from 2 years ago. They cannot keep their books straight as I've never been financially responsible. That is Soc Sec, Medicare and Medicaid's job. Perhaps they 'misplaced' the $$? Do NOT EVER USE THIS GODFORSAKEN place!!!!!!!

Alden Park Strathmoor has very caring staff and they have been extremely attentive to my grandmother’s needs since she has been a resident there. I am happy with the responsiveness of the management team when I have brought up concerns, and with how well they have been keeping me informed on her care. I trust that she is in good hands there and when the time comes for her to transition back home it will be a smooth transition.

Ridiculous facility. Majority of female staff is basically useless. Staff will sit in breakroom on their phones while countless call lights are going off. Very rough and impersonal with my loved one. NOT enough staff. Very upset that this is the only facilty that will take my incapacitated family member. Less than 1 star is most appropriate.
