Alameda Hospital

Maybe things aren’t the newest or shiniest, but that comes with the territory of critical county hospitals being oft neglected and underfunded, despite being a community pillar. The people who work there are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The respect and camaraderie is obvious. They take the extra time and flexibility with family. I hope everyone sees how important this hospital is in the community and ensures secure and adequate funding.

Discharge-Brandon and Mark Chan are neglectful. Mark Chan blamed me for my chronic issues, which turned acute today---I was brushed off, told that my PCP was bad, and was discriminated against because of my state health insurance. I was told that I should not be there, after my PCP told me to go to the ER after having a fainting spell and heart issues. I was compared to other patients, as if I shouldn't have been granted the same quality of care. I was told I should either be dead or dying--- maybe it's a good idea to do an actual work up on your patient to determine that. If you cannot evaluate outside the scope of non-complex patients, during a medical emergency, you should not be practicing.

My dad was recently admitted to this hospital for a serious medical condition, and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The intake process was quick and efficient, which helped ease a very stressful situation. The doctors and nurses were kind, attentive, and communicated clearly every step of the way. We always felt informed and supported. The hospital itself was clean, well-maintained, and the rooms were comfortable, which made a big difference during a difficult time. As a visitor, I was treated with respect and kindness. It was easy to find my way around, and parking was convenient, which made visiting much less stressful. Overall, both my dad and our family felt genuinely cared for. The professionalism and compassion of the staff really stood out, and I would absolutely recomm

Went for high blood pressure refused my non narcotic medicine because I wouldn't checking. Filthy rooms,duck tape and plywood on windows. I think the doctor was on something. I would recommend any other hospital or E.R.

Let’s start by saying the emergency room doesn’t have a check in system. I came in today with a deep cut on my finger. Hoping to get a tetanus shot and leave. However the hospital staff had other plans. the xray technician was struggling with the machine. He also didn’t not have the correct labels left hand right hand etc… then after xray i was escorted to the waiting room where i was absconded by a man in a suit needing more info. He was kind enough to tell me that i don’t have insurance and “the emergency medical website is down or the internet isn’t working properly “ I must also add the triage area is so small it can only fit a chair and is over crowded. I don’t recommend this hospital to anyone that is looking for care.
