Akeso Oral, Facial & Dental Implant Surgery – Catonsville

Less than 1 Basic reply. Sad call to discuss, I did and still no refund! I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at this office. My appointment was scheduled through OrganicSmiles, but no one ever called to verify the appointment or explain that it was a consultation only with a $215 fee. That should have been communicated before I arrived, not sprung on me first thing in the morning. We came in with a referral for one simple extraction (tooth #32). The office already had the x-rays, and the referral clearly stated what we were there for. Instead, the doctor looked at the same x-rays and suddenly recommended removing all wisdom teeth, even though she had just said the others looked fine. It felt unnecessary and financially motivated. My experience with Akeso was very positive. They got me in and prep me for oral surgery and all the staff and Dr. K Brown was amazing. Did a great job on my surgery, and the healing process was good. Look forward to seeing her again in 2 months for implant. Thank you all for the amazing job. I recommend this oral surgeon Kiara Brown for her great job that she did.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! Professional, kind, and reassuring. I was nervous. Was given a stress ball, some jazz, and a blanket. Dr. Brown came in and explained everything quickly, I got my IV and next thing waking up. I probably fell asleep before the medicine lol but I experienced no pain, just soreness. The entire staff was wonderful. The front desk did their best to get me in the following week, X-rays, procedure, and I was out of there. Thank you!

This was my first visit to Akeso Oral Surgery. I was referred to them by Smiles R Us for problems with jaw pain after they extracted to teeth. The staff was very pleasant and efficient and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Brown was very pleasant and thorough: she took xrays, examined the area of pain, and asked a variety of questions to help us determine the next course of action. She recommended a CT scan of my jaw to get a better picture of the area. As soon as I get the scan, she will be able to develop a plan of action. I appreciated that Dr. Brown was not hasty to make a diagnosis without further investigation. I am sure she will be able to resolve the problem.

Dr. Jake Lazer was absolutely amazing! I didn’t feel a thing — not even a pinch — and honestly had to laugh watching him stay so focused trying to get my tooth out. He handled everything with such patience and care. The entire Akeso team was just as impressive. They were friendly, professional, and followed up afterward to make sure I was healing well and had all my questions answered. From start to finish, the whole process was quick and stress-free. I’m truly grateful for their kindness and professionalism. If you’re nervous about dental work, go see Dr. Lazer at Akeso — you’ll be in the best hands!
