I visited Aglow Dermatology many years ago. Recently I returned to have a simple chemical peel. Dr. Strachan and her staff (Zoey) made my experience very easy. They explained my options and the benefits. The administration process was smooth and very easy. I would highly recommend contacting Dr. Strachan if you are thinking about or have question concerning skin and options.

I had an appointment today and the experience was extremely disappointing. The doctor was cold, dismissive, and came across as if I was an inconvenience rather than a patient seeking care. There was no warmth, no effort to build comfort, and very little communication. The visit felt rushed from start to finish. My concerns were not properly explained, questions were not meaningfully addressed, and the overall energy was simply “I don’t want to be bothered.” That is not acceptable in a healthcare setting where patients deserve respect, attention, and clear information. I specifically chose this provider hoping for a level of understanding and professionalism, but instead I left feeling uncomfortable, unheard, and frustrated. The best thing I did was stop going here. I had about 5 visits and they all felt rushed. Her attitude and bedside manners are terrible. It was like pulling teeth to get her to explain my diagnoses in a way that I fully understood. I didn’t feel like I was properly treated. Additionally, office staff were a bit unorganized and blamed me when they made mistakes. Finally writing this review because I want people of color to be released from this idea that we have to go to doctors just because they are of color too. She is an ok doctor at best and I’m happy I did my research and found an office that can actually treat my condition

Perhaps aging was never meant to be easy! When I saw Dr. Strachan in July '24, my concerns were many about fading spots, psoriasis outbreaks, and an outgrowth of moles. One by one she expertly and patiently addressed my concerns. This is why my family and I have been Dr. Strachan's patients for over 20 years (now inclusive of our pre-teen daughter). She is also a thought leader and innovator at the top of her field. Data and thorough research drives her practice, treatments, planning, and prognosis. We are so grateful to have her as our long-time dermatologist!
