AFC Urgent Care South Plainfield

Arrived at the American Family Care Urgent Care moments before closing for the day. The front desk gave my daughter, with a cut finger that ultimately needed stitches, and I the white glove treatment. We felt welcomed like they just opened the doors! Lena and PA Jackson were very professional in diagnosing and treating my daughter’s cut finger. PA Jackson was very meticulous and gentle with my daughter. My daughter told me that she felt no pain when getting the stitches! PA Jackson’s bedside mannerism was impeccable. So, chilvary is not dead!

This location is very close to where I live, and I’ve been here multiple times in the past without any issues. The staff and doctors used to be great, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. It seems there is a new doctor at this location, and unfortunately my visit with him was not pleasant. Similar to what others have mentioned in previous reviews, the doctor appeared to be in a rush, did not really listen to my concerns, briefly stated what he thought was the issue, and then left the room. There was very little explanation or discussion, which felt dismissive and left a negative impression. Took 2 hours just to get a damn drug test almost 3 hours do not recommend they say the wait is 20-30 min to an hour which is a complete lie god forbid you have to go to work this place takes too long for a simple drug test not only there like 5 people here I don’t know why they take hours for something so simple.

This was my first time at this urgent care facility. The check in process was very simple. Everyone who worked here was very friendly and helpful. Stephanie was very sweet and a pleasure to deal with. U didn’t catch the name of the nurse or the Dr, but they were also very pleasant.

They refused to treat me all i had was A SIMPLE nasal injury took in my insurance and put me in line for treatment and then nurse called me and told me neither they could NOT give first aid nor treat me and asked me to go to ER on Christmas eve and when they were open. They could not even assist during simple nasal injury for wanting to cut patients in queue. Go to City MD they treat you with dignity and respect and not be lazy to treat those who need medical attention. In addition I incurred financial loss of more than 500 dollars by going to ER for something simple like this because the doctor and nurse were lazy to treat and eager to close and go. Please go to other places that treat patients better.
