Cons: No accountability for support staff. Pre treatments not sent, or after a lot of pushing sent incorrectly. No one follows lab cases, you can be waiting months. The phone AI system is ridiculous. The under trained front office and invisible billing department is the worst. They honestly do not function like any other dental office. Sometimes you get reminders sometimes you dont.One of the front office staff is so rude and she lacks any dental knowledge. You arrive and they dont know why your there, if the treatment is approved, they argued with me my care was not approved, it was I was mailed the same document, waited 45 minutes for the front desk to call the carrier? Aesthetic Dental is by far the best dentist office. All staff are pleasant , respectful of your time and dedicated to your comfort. The dentist is gentle and listens to your needs. I highly recommend this dental practice, they actually care and it shows.

I had to switch dentists because my longtime provider was temporarily out-of-network with Dominion Insurance. I chose this office specifically because they assured me they accepted my insurance. I was very clear about this. Despite their confirmation, they scheduled me with a dentist who was not certified with Dominion. I only found out when my claim was denied. The office told me she was certified; Dominion said she wasn’t. Now I’m stuck with the bill, and the office has been completely unhelpful. When I tried to speak with a manager, they refused and even hung up on me. I’m 75 and disabled — this experience has been one of the worst I’ve had in healthcare. I’ve had and am having significant work done on my teeth and Dr. Salem is great; highly recommend. Estimates always seem to be way off (over $1k this time) compared to what my insurance actually pays so I have to make sure I do my own research and not rely on what the front office tells me my insurance will pay.

I’ve been a patient here for a little over a year and have not been happy. At my first appointment there was a mishap during my cleaning that resulted in a burn in my mouth, and they gave me the wrong information regarding what would be covered by my insurance. Since then both my husband and I have had our cleaning appointments canceled, often with very little notice. Most recently my cleaning in August was canceled the day of the appointment and re-scheduled for late November. They must be chronically short staffed. I have found a new dentist.
