Our experience at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL was excellent during my wife’s recent surgery. Dr. Zimmerman was outstanding—he took the time to be very informative, thorough, and detailed, ensuring we fully understood the procedure and what to expect at every step. His professionalism and clear communication provided a great deal of reassurance. The nursing staff in the recovery area were equally exceptional. They were among the most polite, attentive, and professional caregivers we have ever encountered, and they treated my wife with genuine care and respect. We are truly grateful for the high level of medical expertise and compassion shown throughout our experience.

The place is going downhill. I bring my 2 year old son here very often due to excellent care he received in the past. My son has sickle cell disease. We usually come in for respiratory illness that offset his sickle cell crisis. I brought him into er and they did their regular routine of tx (antibiotics, fluids, pain meds, chest x-ray, nasal swap). I know my son treatment plan like the back of my head due to frequency of episodes. I was informed he would get a blood transfusion while in er awaiting his room in peds. We were taken upstairs to peds to a room with an adult bed not crib. The nurse did get consent for adult bed from myself with explanation no availability of cribs. We arrived to peds( children hospital) no food trays (lunch or dinner) were provided for my son. Blood transfusion

I had a harrowing experience here back in 2003 that I'll never forget. My sister and I were trapped in an elevator that malfunctioned, rapidly shooting up and dropping down for 5 terrifying minutes. At the time, I truly feared for our lives. I hope their maintenance protocols have been completely overhauled since then. Otherwise proceed with caution if you're wary of heights or old lifts.

Family Member was admitted (ambulance)here due to a traumatic fall injury! Doctors said that such patient had to undergo CSI surgery that put patient in the STYCK unit-ICU… the staff was horrible! Majority of the night staff! Pt staff was/is never Regular when you would think they would be, as soon as shift change(night staff) would happen all hell breaks loose! I witnessed how they never did the job properly with basic common sense (turning patient regularly )-changing/cleaning…that led to the patient to have a serious bed sore/wound on the backside. They mistreated the patient so badly verbally and physically doing unexplainable acts to a patient who couldn’t defend self! And blamed such on patient having delirium. If your loved one is not a member of CPD and just a regular civilian you

Don't know why the ER is going downhill, my past experiences were not like yesterday. Brought my mother who is elderly in at 2:30pm Saturday after she fell. The security denied my brother's entry saying only one person with the patient. I was then told after triage that I would have to leave. Why are they pushing people out that are with their loved ones? No one wants to be left alone in an emergency situation. I didn't leave her after triage, but I stepped out when she went for x-ray. Upon my re-entry I was heavily questioned by security about me coming back in. The front desk told me I can check on her and leave since I had all of her belongings, and it would be at least 3 hours to see a doctor. She sat in the waiting area until then. Received text message she was assigned a provider at
