AdventHealth Medical Group Internal Medicine at Volusia Avenue

DO NOT GO HERE - FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR OFFICE. I only went twice and both times I left with billing issues. The staff couldn’t care less. I’m perfectly healthy and only went for my free annual physical + labs covered by preventative insurance. However, they charged me for an illness visit and lied on my permanent health record that I was sick in order to bill me. Then, they ordered additional lab work that was not required or requested that cost me money out of pocket. I have had nothing but problems. I tried to follow up with them and appeal the charges and fix the issue, but they were no help and told me to pay the bill. No care at all for their patients. This is exactly what is wrong with American medicine. Screwing over another patient to get a few extra dollars out of insurance and me.

Wouldn't recommend. Excessive wait times, ongoing billing issues, uncaring, rude, and dismissive staff. We tried this Advent Health location and have had nothing but problems. From lab orders that were never sent to unresolved billing issues leaving us with hundreds in out of pocket medical expenses. This happened to not only me, but also my husband, AND my daughter who were patients as well. None of us will be going back.
