Wow, what an amazing physician and person Dr. Ahmed is. Not only was he patient in hearing my concerns, he gave me a detailed game plan on how he will treat me moving forward and calmed my worries. Thankful for him, his professionalism and expertise. Thanks Dr Ahmed, have a blessed Ramadan!

Dr. Ahmed was very professional and listen to my concerns about my joint pains. Explained everything to me. He did a sonogram right there ordered blood work and a cream to put on my hands and of course I have to contact her occupational therapist. I was very impressed with the doctor and the facility.

This was my first visit, and I was really impressed! The doctor listened carefully to my concerns about joint pain, did a sonogram and X-ray right on site, and ordered detailed blood work to get to the root of the problem. He was professional, kind, thorough, and genuinely cared about what I was feeling. I finally felt heard and not like my pain was just in my head. Highly recommend!!!

Presentation of diagnosis of potentially life altering chronic illness kind but detached. Needs more skills in active listening, nonverbal communication, delivering difficult news which are all key elements in patient centered care to develop trust. Additionally, at this Stony Brook practice issues with availability of medical records and up to date charting. For example incomplete records in Stony Brook Patient Portal. I was told by SB staff in Patient Advocacy and Privacy departments "we don't put everything in portal." SB pushes use of portal by patients to be able to access Personal Health Information per HIPAA regulations. Records availability a crap shoot even when inquiring directly with practice. The doctor took his time and explained what are next steps are. He gave me alot of information and told me I can research the medication he recommends. He has very good bed side matters.
