1st Choice Urgent Care of Royal Oak

I reserved a time at 5:30 on a Friday night. I’ve really expected it to be busy, but there was only one person in there. I literally only waited about 90 seconds and they took me back. The assistant was so friendly and kind. The physician came in right away and did an excellent job. This is the third time I’ve been there and I highly recommend this place.

I made appointment online and there was a slight issue when I got there, I wasn’t checked in correctly and then it took about 30 minutes after my appointment time before I got in to see the doctor. “But” Once I got checked in, I had great care! They knew I was very sick and called prescriptions in for me right away and genuinely seemed concerned. I’ve been here before and I never had any problems checking in But things happen sometimes. It’s all about the care and I felt like I received that 100%.

First time visiting this urgent care and I was very impressed! The staff was professional, the service was quick, and the whole process was smooth. It’s reassuring to know there’s a place you can go for fast, quality care when you need it. Thank you 🙏

I was seen at my appointment time, was able to do paperwork ahead of time and then greeted by a very sweet receptionist. The doctor was super nice and thorough. The place was comfortable and clean. Will definitely go there again if the need arrives.

Horrible office staff. Walked in and instead of greeting me at the counter, I was asked from the attendant’s computer while she sat there quite a distance from the counter why I was coming in. I had checked in online before coming in but was asked again for all of my items (license and insurance card). She said I was coming up in-active. No kindness, no “if you call your insurance I’m sure we can figure it out,” just smug face. I said, I guess I am leaving. Followed by a long pause and I just walked out. There was no one in the waiting room, so it wasn’t like they had other patients to see. Left and went to Corewell urgent care. Was seen quickly. Although she saw that I was inactive too, realized it was probably an issue with my last name as mine is hyphenated. Was seen 5 minutes later
