Just moved to Tempe from Mesa and Scheduled an appointment here for the first time. The receptionist wasn’t to polite. Asked me to do paper work and then asked me where I worked. I replied I own a vintage clothing shop in Tempe and for some reason she thought that was funny. Also tried to rush me into a payment plan and receive my dental work same day. Wasn’t expecting that at all, I wasn’t expecting to be rushed and laughed at for my first dentist appointment here. Her primary concern should have making my first time at this establishment a great one, not to rush money out of me. I have insurance so what’s the rush? Dr Wood and Dr Schicktanz are some of the most capable and skilled dentists in the valley. I have been their patient for five years and have recommended many family and friends to them in that time. What sets them apart is that they practice with integrity. I originally came to them for a second opinion for a dental scaling, and their hygienists were able to prevent it from being necessary. Since then, regular appointments have been a breeze and my teeth have been kept in great shape. They have good availability for urgent visits and will make sure you are never uncomfortable at your appointments. On the one occasion where a dental procedure didn't go perfectly (at no fault of them), they were available and willing to help correct the issue, even going so far as to comp a specialist vis

My cleaning was good. The low score is because of the rude front desk staff. They forgot I was waiting for my husband and they proceeded to talk about me being bossy and demanding because I asked them to forward X-rays to dentist in another state and because I had questions about the type of X-rays I had. When I asked if there was a problem with my request they scrambled upon realizing I was still there. One of them actually tried to tell me they were talking about someone else... Someone who had the same request as me. Very unprofessional.

I have been going to Dr. Wood for over 30 years. The service and care from his entire staff has always been consistently great. The atmosphere in the office is soothing. Dr. Wood always takes his time and I don’t feel rushed. Dr. Wood, kudos to you and your staff love you all.

Or favorite dentist! They go out of their way to cater to your needs. They never try to pressure you into dental work. I have been taken advantage of by dentists in the past who recommended lots of unnecessary work to increase their income, and they really harmed the long term health of my teeth. Wood Family Dentistry is great -- they provide top notch service and they never recommend work that is not needed. Thank you!!!
