I came for a nurse visit to get my birth control shot & I can’t remember the medical assistant’s name but she was amazing!! Very friendly & professional but that’s not the part that impressed me most. She made “small talk “ & asked if I had plans for the day to which I replied yes, I’m going to an AA meeting today. Without missing a beat she replied that she thought that was amazing & she was rooting for me. I can’t tell you what that meant to me. I don’t always get a positive reaction like that. It moved me & I just wanted to share that experience in this review because it’s important for me to share that I am a recovering alcoholic/addict because it has affected my health but it’s not fun telling people that about myself. I’ve had the best care possible from all of the doctors with women’s health here in Lawrenceburg. I’ve had 3 babies and couldn’t think of a complaint if I wanted to. Amanda Parker delivered my most recent baby. She always met me with the idea of how can I help you meet your goals. What questions can I answer for you. Dr. Howard was kind, caring, and professional. He spent time with me during a hard emotional day. The office staff is amazing & always so helpful and caring. I’m so thankful the community has this wonderful group of people caring for the women of Dearborn & surrounding counties.

Dr. Howard, his medical student, and all of his staff went above and beyond for me today. I’ve had such an awful experience in the past with gynos. They’ve always been rough, didn’t really explain things to me, we’re judgmental because I had a baby at a young age, and I’ve been trying for 6 years to get my IUD out. It has been causing so many issues for me, and nobody would remove it. Dr. Howard didn’t even hesitate to tell me he would take it out for me. He apologized for my past experiences with other doctors, and was so kind. He walked me through everything step by step, was patient with me, and listened to every concern I had. Some of the worst care I have ever received. Since recently moving back to Indiana from Ohio, I didn’t have very many options when it came to OB care. I had heard good things about Amanda Parker as a provider. For whatever reason it seemed, she had a distaste for me as a person and a patient starting with my very first visit with her. She was extremely condescending every time she discussed any of my concerns with me, she continuously made me feel like she not only didn’t care about my concerns, but that I was a burden to even have concerns or questions. Multiple times of being in this office, I sat in the room and overheard the entire staff gossiping in the hall about other patients. I don't understand how not only nurses, but the doctors aswell can be so childish and judgemental about things. They made my wife and I's last pregnancy miserable the entire 9 months, more or less tricked my wife into getting an IUD after her telling them she didn't want birth control because we're catholic. Then when her heart doctor said the IUD is causing her heart palpitations due to the hormonal changes it's doing to her body they made getting it out more difficult than it needed to be. When we went in all the doctors and nurses were whispering about why we wanted to get it out and judging our reasonings for it, aswell as acting like we're dumb for wanting it gone.
