This is an edit to my previous review. We can tell everyone about this hospital and our experiences, but is there anything we can do to get the people responsible to listen and act? I have been researching who would be higher than the DHA. Does anyone know who could bring Womack's lack of care and medical knowledge to light? I did not see a question section so I am asking here. Based on my experience and other reviews, I believe Patient Advocacy, ICE, and anyone else who would address valid complaints have been informed to ignore and gaslight patients until they give up. I don't know if they need a petition or something to get their attention. And I know it is a pain and takes forever to go through proper channels but I am willing to do this if it means finally being heard and improving

I would like to say I’ve heard very mixed reviews about giving birth at Womack which made me extremely nervous but the nurses I had were amazing. Specifically Mary B. (RN) , Erin ( Charge Nurse), and I can’t remember her name but she’s African American and wears glasses!! She was my nurse before and after my C section and she had such beautiful energy even though I was in so much pain. I would like to tell any new moms that the OBGYN downstairs aren’t as informational but giving birth at Womack is completely different. I loved my experience and my nurses for advocating for me even to the extent of changing the baby diaper in the middle of the night because I was so exhausted. I will always remember the experience.

This review is for my labor in October 2024, however, I remember it like yesterday after documenting my birth story. After nearly 20 hours of an unmedicated, treacherous labor and attempting to push my baby out with no success, my baby's heart rate became erratic: DR> HIGHTOWER told us verbatim "we often see things like this go south quickly… And by ‘go south’ we mean die. Babies die". THAT'S how a doctor spoke to a woman at her wits end in labor and to a worried father. Absolutely unacceptable. The situation was NOT emergent, as I proceeded to attempt to push for about 20 extra minutes. I feel they wanted to expedite the process and ruin my chance at a natural birth. To add, NURSE TIFFANY GIBBS is just about the worst kind of person you'd want present at your attempt at a natural birth.

After reading other people’s reviews, our experience is not the worst but it’s bad. I feel the need to leave a review with hopes that it will contribute to change. The lady that checks in people at the ER overnight was so condescending and rude. The way she told my husband I needed to be the one speaking to her was so rude… And I was standing right next to him. She could have just turned her head just a bit to face me and asked me to step forward. Instead she said “let her come to the front!”. She then asked questions to check me in and I told her I was in for a cough and she said “a cough?” And then asked what I’m taking for the cough, I told her nothing… just tea. And she was like “nothing?!!!” She made me super uncomfortable. To the guy up front with dreads, xray lady and the doctor… th

HORRIBLE. DISGUSTING. SERVICE. Has a 4 month waiting in the waiting room for 5 HOURSSS???!!! seriously 5 HOURSSS?!!! just for the weigh in? during peak flu season. and have the audacity to be so condescending to tell me “there’s more important patients who are more sick” because yeah the 4 month old has the strongest immune system . constantly telling me i’m next. or there’s 2 ppl ahead of just for 10 names to keep on going bye. I genuinely had to start raising my voice. HIRE MORE PPL. FIND A MORE EFFICIENT WAY. womack army, genuinely feel shame and disgust towards yourself. the way u conduct a hospital is completely vile and evil behavior. they genuinely don’t care. they see the horrible reviews and NOTHING CHANGES. the nurses r fine ppl but this place needs to be shut down for running a
