Update: I’ve needed a few weeks to process the loss of Finn. We got five good weeks with him after his diagnosis that I will cherish forever. First and foremost I want to thank Dr. Willis and his team for providing the upmost care they provided 6-7 prior years and during the last six weeks of his life. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart ♥️ Dr.Willis for giving me 5 more weeks to live life with my beloved baby. Also, Dr. Willis should be extremely proud of his team at John Rolfe Hospital & Winterfield Hospital who were the primary vet office that have maintain Finns health… Dr. Willis, Heather, both Lindsay‘s (practice manager and vet assistant at John Rolfe) and Katie -vet tech… became family to us…. his team are an amazing Veterinarian hospital. I would not recommend this practice for several reasons. One of the male vets recommended a dental cleaning, so I scheduled an appointment. That vet provided a written cost estimate. I scheduled the appointment with a dental vet who said our dog didn’t need a cleaning and also noted that some of her bloodwork from her physical a month ago was abnormal, so she would not put her under for a dental cleaning given that scenario. In addition, if your pet needs medical care over the weekend, you must go to urgent care. Lastly, Dr White is unsympathetic and lacks empathy and integrity. Given those personality traits, do you want to trust her with your fur baby? On the other hand, Dr. Willis, co-owner, is fantastic! First time patients. We choose this location out of convenience, as we live in Tarrington, so it’s close to our home. My first call I was told there would be a $60 new pet fee per pet. $120. I failed to ask if this would go towards the overall bill. This wasn’t the case, so I paid $120 dollars for the privilege of being allowed to bring my pets there. I’ve had diagnostics test on a car or made reservations and had to place a monetary hold, but it would go to the over all bill. In these cases. I was still charged an additional $242 dollars for service and the $120 was listed. So $360 plus dollars. Entire back up staff is wonderful and caring except for Heather the office manager, no compassion and rude. Doctor White is rude and abbrasive also. In the very first visit she called me a helicopter mom costing me 10,000. in emergency care. Finally Dr Widden diagnosed my Luci. Lou with rhinitis, others misdiagnosed. I had my Luci Lou for 14 years before I had to say good bye. The doctor on duty did not let me be with her as requested. They wisked her away to the back room to administer meds. When they returned her to me she was already gone. I was visibly upset, when I asked the vet why she didn’t allow me to be with her. I have received wonderful Care for my elderly dog. He is not a fan of grooming but the staff handles him with patience & love I trust and appreciate their care!
