if you have the chance to make this establishment your first option DO IT! i had the best experience here- for my first time ever having to go to the emergency vet, they took the best care of my sweet little girl. they loved her and took care of her like she was their own. they were so patient and informative and didn’t make me feel bad for asking any questions. my baby had to be hospitalized over night and they did everything for her and more. i was at another emergency vet (DO NOT GO TO SALEM VETERINARY EMERGENCY CLINIC) prior spending my whole morning and had the WORST experience at that clinic before i came to this one. my baby even accidentally peed on herself at the other clinic the staff there didn’t care and just gave her back to me, WILVET BATHED HER FOR ME! :,). On January 19th, our beautiful loving 5 year old St. Bernard, Bear, had a sudden medical emergency and could barely breath. His throat had closed up badly. We rushed him to Wilvet Salem Emergency and upon arriving he was instantly triaged and taken into a room. The veterinarian and the rest of the team, from the front office to the back, ALL went out of their way to try to find out what was happening to our Bear as soon as possible. EVERYONE at this facility treated Bear and the rest of our 5 member family with such dignity, compassion, and care trying to keep Bear alive and find out what was causing his issue. We had an excellent experience at Wilvet Salem Emergency during a very stressful situation with our cat, Gypsy. This was the second time we have used this clinic for an emergency, and both experiences have been outstanding. Dr. Rachel Gray saw us immediately in the middle of the night and showed incredible empathy and compassion throughout the visit. We also greatly appreciate the help and kindness from Kevin, the vet nurse, as well as the rest of the staff, who were all attentive and supportive. They were very upfront and transparent about costs, which we truly appreciated. It’s rare to find this level of care and professionalism, especially during emergency hours. We are extremely grateful for the care Gypsy received and highly recommend Wilvet Salem Emergency.

They saved our dog’s life - she wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for their skill, compassion and communication. They were supportive and kept in communication even after we brought her back home. We are very grateful for the team and highly recommend!
