Wilson Medical Center: Emergency Room

I recently received care at Wilson Hospital and was very impressed with the overall experience. From check-in to discharge, every staff member I interacted with was professional, kind, and attentive. The nurses took the time to explain what was happening at each step, which really helped ease my anxiety.The doctors listened carefully to my concerns, answered all of my questions in a way I could understand, and made sure I felt involved in decisions about my care. The facility was clean and well-organized, and I never felt like I was being rushed or overlooked, even when they were clearly busy.What stood out the most was the level of compassion everyone showed—nurses, techs, and administrative staff alike. No sense of urgency, 2 hrs to get blood work, no bed in my ER room. I had to lay down on 2 chairs. They need to expand ER department get more staff and act like it's an Emergency. This ER really sucks, you can't fill all your rooms up with people not too sick, then comes in me, a sick guy and you have no room for the sickest guy. They said we can't turn anybody away. But they can make you wait in waiting area until you die. While somebody brought their baby in there coz it has runny nose.

Went there with chest pain. They took a quick ekg and put me waiting in waiting area with 2 other patients. We sit 2.5 hours and they called nobody back. Keep in mind there was only 3 of us. Me and my pouse left went to greenville. They called me and said i left against medical advice. What advice? This ER is a joke along with the girl sitting behind the desk.

They prioritize the less urgent patients. i’m 6 weeks pregnant and experienced heavy bleeding i came in around 7:40ish this morning . i just got my ultrasound AN HOUR AGO and still waiting for my ultrasound results at 11:40am. I rather travel to a further hospital than to come here again !

The worst of the worst! Never seen anything like it. Sent child in there didn’t do proper check and was sent home. Child later died that night. When it could’ve been avoided if they had just took probably pro cautions. Honestly need to shut down they are nasty rooms are disgusting, they leave dirty needles and other things out that have been used by prior patients. It’s all for a check & the nurses come there to just look good.
