6 Months Waiting, Never Saw a Doctor. This office was in-network for my husband’s insurance, which is the only reason we chose it. I called to schedule a new patient appointment and was told the earliest availability was 3 months out. I accepted that, added it to my calendar, and was advised to come in person to pick up paperwork since they don’t use online forms or electronic reminders.. already very outdated, but fine. Because my husband has a very tight work schedule, so after 3 months, I called the day before the appointment to confirm. The same woman who originally scheduled us answered and told me there was no appointment under his name at all. 3 months completely wasted. She then scheduled another appointment—again 3 months out. I repeated the same process: noted it carefully and

Office staff is kinda rude at times. The doctor doesn't really talk to you about your specific health needs, because they take blood work the same day he sees you, so he doesn't have any details about you current health status. Instead he just makes small talk, then a few days later, after the blood work comes back, the office staff calls to tell you what the doctor prescribed. If you have any questions or concerns about it, you can ask the doctor when you get to see him next year, but by then you need new blood work. Disappointing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Melissa Wester's for 17 years. She is thorough, friendly and she cares. Her staff is professional and scheduling is easy. Phone calls are answered by her staff, and if a message has to be left, which is rare, they contact me as soon as they can. I could not ask for a better doctor.

I witnessed a very disrespectful event today. A young lady was trying to attend her father to the Dr office and make sure his health was okay. Even with the approval for his daughter to attend the physical exam with him the doctor and his staff refused to let her assist her father. It was unbelievable! I understand HIPPA laws and all of that. But this man requested his daughter to speak with his doctor because he needed her help and they refused. This needs to be looked into seriously. This is how malpractice starts, the doctor not wanting family to assist patients and then they end up sick and bad things happen. We need better doctors and better staff.

Trent has been my physician for close to 10 years now. Now have my husband and both sons going to him as well as two family friends I referred. He’s so sharp and spot on about managing your overall health from cholesterol and blood pressure to thyroid and B12. Very thorough. Once caught a skin cancer spot on my face that I only mentioned as an itchy spot in passing as he walked out the door. He came back, had me in the dermatologist the next day and yes it was skin cancer. I know patients who say they’ve been to Melissa for years and that she’s excellent as well. Great practice. I highly recommend!
