Wilmington Health Today's Care - Porters Neck

I have been sick for almost 6 weeks!! I mean I just wanted too long to be seen because I get very nervous going to the doctor's office. All I can say is this was the BEST experience at an office I have ever had in my life. From beginning to end. Crystal, Michelle and Colleen (yes I made sure to remember their names), made me feel so warm, understood and welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. I know they could tell I wasnt feeling well at all. They made sure they listen, acted swiftly and did it with so much kindness and understanding. I could go on and on. I walked in there feeling miserable and was laughing within 2 minutes. It didn't stop there, the new doctor I saw, Dr. ENZ, was juat as kind and understanding. He immediately gave suggestions and a plan for me to get better. I e

The provider I saw PA Oliver Hodgkiss was exceptional and truly made the visit worthwhile. He was one of the best medical professionals I’ve encountered in a long time. His bedside manner, attentiveness, and treatment plan were outstanding, and because of his care I am already feeling significantly better. Given that I am immunocompromised, his thoroughness likely prevented what could have been a much worse outcome. Unfortunately, I had to give four stars instead of five due to repeated negative experiences with the front desk staff. On multiple visits, both women at the front desk have been consistently rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming. Check in went great. Quicker than usual. Any time I have to go to the walk-in clinic at the Porters Neck location I always hope that Melissa the NP is there that day. And this past Friday, 2/13/26 she was. I'm very happy with her because she's very thorough, very matter of fact, very pleasant to talk to, and she's not afraid to do what she needs to do to find the source of any problem. When I'm in her care, I feel well taken care of and treated like I matter, my opinion matters and that I am a human being and not just another patient. I have taken my son to this clinic as well & he has also seen Melissa and frankly there's no one like her. There is also noone else I'd rather he or I see than her. I know there's others and they are fine but any chance I get to have her take care of us, it's

Open sign off arrived little before 9am took front desk lady hour just to get brief paper work in and my 3 three old & I checked in. Sitting in lobby was two other ladies. Saw one man walk out. The front desk lady said she had five people in back to a couple that walked in that it was hour wait. When I went in back took forever for Melissa to get in room. She claimed she had 13 patients reason for being late but literally office looked empty along with lobby and parking lot. Said nothing was wrong did not prescribe anything that needed to go get Sudafed over the counter. Waited two hours minimum and maybe more walked out still charging $60 for a copay which is rediculous and waste of time and still feel bad. The parking lot had just two cars in it. Never will I go to this location again.

I had such a positive experience at Wilmington Health Today’s Care. Oliver, PA was absolutely exceptional. He took the time to really listen to my health concerns and explained everything thoroughly. His bedside manner was outstanding—kind, patient, and compassionate. He is extremely knowledgeable, and I honestly wish he could be my primary care provider. I also want to highlight the nurse Jennifer Washington who assisted me during my visit. From taking my blood pressure to guiding me through the process, she was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Together, they made me feel cared for and comfortable from start to finish. This was one of the best healthcare experiences I’ve had in a while., and I highly recommend Wilmington Health Today’s Care in Porter Neck. Thank you so muc
