Willow Creek Retirement Center

I had been a 24/7 caregiver to my 65 yoa husband w/ Traumatic Brain Injury for 2 years when it became apparent that I could no longer provide the skilled nursing that he needed at home. Had 2 trusted friends recommend WC to me. He has been a resident there for a month now. The staff is friendly, caring & hard-working; the facility is clean, odor-free & organized; the meals are tasty & fresh (definitely not your typical hospital food). I go daily at lunch to ensure that he is eating (although staff is always available to feed him if I am not there) & visit for a couple of hours. Very pleased w/ the care that he is receiving. Thank you, Willow Creek, for taking exceptional care of my husband!

My father was transferred from VA to Willow Creek for rehab. He has COPD and because of a recent fall, he needed to gain strength and mobility. The 1st 2 days he had no rehab and by the end of the next week, he had fallen 4 times. We found out after checking him out that he was being given a narcotic to help calm him...it turned out that rehab couldn't even wake him up to work with him. After the 4th fall, he had to be transported right back to the hospital. I do not recommend this rehab facility.

This place seriously disappointed me and my family. My mom has COPD and has been a patient at Willow Creek in the past (5 years ago). She recently was admitted to the hospital for COPD exacerbation. While in the hospital she lost a lot of strength and we went to Willow Creek for the therapy as we had done 5 years prior. Well this time around they have built a new wing strictly for rehabilitation patients. I thought this visit would be even better than the last visit due to the special new wing. Boy were we mistaken! I, being a health care professional myself, know what is acceptable and what is not. I have the advantage of knowing how things are SUPPOSED to happen. In 3 nights and 4 days my mom’s health declined RAPIDLY! She quit being able to void on her own and instead of having a stand

She was there for rehab. Didn't bathe her for two days. She had blood in her feces and nobody did anything until we called. We took her to hospital while they were still trying to find doctor. The director did nothing but deny. No apologies. A could of nurses were very kind to her.
