William Luster MD, Cane River Family Medicine

My daughter is 21 and is just getting started with finding her own Primary Dr. We looked online and read reviews and decides on Dr. Luster. The staff are all very friendly and our wait time was no more than 10 mins in the front and maybe about the same once we were taken back. Dr. Luster has such a wonderful, caring bedside manner and was very thorough. So glad she chose this clinic!

I’m new to the Natchitoches area was looking for a new GP and Dr. Luster came highly recommended.. Dr. Luster and his staff at make it easy to get appointments and his staff is efficient. If you are in the Natchitoches are looking for a new doctor I highly recommend seeing Dr. Luster. Dr. Luster is very personalable, easy to talk too, great bedside manner, excellent at follow up, makes you feel at ease and that you are the most important person while he is in the exam room with you. We were misinformed by the office staff before the appointment as to what Dr. Luster treated. We came to the appointment expecting to have our concerns addressed....even if that meant a referral. We paid out of pocket for the visit and waited over an hour to see the doctor. The doctor walks in and said he does not evaluate nor does he treat for the disorder that we are there for. We explain to him that we checked twice with his clinic and they told us different. He said he could refund our money. So that's what we did. He didn't even offer to send us somewhere that could help us nor did he apologize for the office staff misinforming us. He was extremely rude, dismissive and uncaring. I met Dr Luster when he was in residency in New Orleans. Took him the car that he drives. When he open his practice in Natchitoches,I chose him as my primary care dr. He has a great bedside manner. I've enjoyed my time with his clinic. He is a good dr.

Dr. Luster’s Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) is located on the 4th floor in Natchitoches Regional Med. Center While visiting with my brother. Luster did not show any concern for curative as he spoke loud declaring death over my brother as he lay there listening. He repeated the message loudly in the presence of the his patient “ he’s dying, he will starve, we can’t cure him, he’s in a position to have a heart attack. His kidneys are failing. Not once did this doctor give any glimpse of hope to the patient. He actually spoke death to his patient openly and repeatedly in the presence of him and witnesses. He told me I was selfish for allowing my brother to eat. Luster showed no bedside manners. It was the worst experience I had ever witnessed. This patient has stitches in his side that wa
