I am new to the area and my glasses broke. But, it was time for an eye exam anyway. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and understood the urgency and need to get an appointment right away. She promised to call me if they had a cancellation. Sure enough, a couple of hours later, she called with an appointment for me that day. The doctor was friendly and discussed with me a vision problem I am having and took time to answer my questions. I'm so pleased with the customer service I received; good customer service is difficult to find these days. I'll definitely go back!

Dr. Barker did an eye exam for me a few years ago when I first moved down. He was nice and friendly, professional and my prescription was spot on. Fast forward a few years and I needed another prescription, but out of convenience I went elsewhere. What a mistake. Two visits and this other doctor still couldn't get my prescription right. I bit the bullet and decided to go back to Dr. Barker and man am I glad that I did! Told him what was going on and he set about with the exam. Exam was done and just as I had expected the other doctor was wrong even after two trips! Dr. Barker wrote me the right prescription I needed, thank goodness! Should have gone to triCounty. It's now my 3rd time returning for the same prescription.. Dr. Barker got it way wrong the first time. Then when I returned gave me BS about how the lenses place next door didn't "tilt" the glasses.. 45 degrees of tilt means you didn't do RX right. He finally reexamine me after Manager next door had to argue with him that he got RX wrong. Now after waiting 2 weeks.. he rushes me through again.. and guess what.. yep. Still wrong!.. Called and said This is the last time. And I want another Dr to do exam.. "the Drs don't like to check each other's work".. 3rd time.. get me the other Dr.. a week later I am about to go in for my final rxam..better be right this time..

My wife walks in today to get an eye exam. They take care of her right away. my wife calls me while I'm eating lunch and ask me to come by. While she is on the phone with me Dr. Barker walks in. She tells me the doctor is in and I will see you in a bit. As she is hanging up with me Dr. barker literally has a tantrum and huffs and puffs his way out of the office, says me wife. 10 minutes later I arrive at the Optometrist office. I can see two clients waiting in the waiting room. As I make my way to her room I see the doctor walking a patient to the receptionist desk. As I am sitting with her, 20 minutes pass. I go to the receptionist office to see what the wait time may be. When I look in the waiting room I see that both patients who arrived after my wife were no longer sitting there. I

Have been trying to call him for appointments but no one returning my calls. Otherwise he is a great eye doctor whom I have been going to him for years.
