Whiting Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because most the employees are very nice and care about your loved ones. The shape and cleanliness of this place is deplorable. Look at the air and heat vents this tells you what you and your loved ones are breathing in. The maintenance of this place is just amateur.i included a picture of a door they tried to fix and a leaking pipe that just gets band aids, look at the ceiling tile. The food I wouldnt feed to a stray cat. I said to my loved one the food can’t be that bad until I taste it. Please do your research before you send your loved ones here. My loved one we brought home because he was getting worse everyday there: I am Happy to say with bringing in a home health aide he is doing much better…

I am a client at Whiting Gardens Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, I have to say the care I receive while my stay here is acceptional, The Doctors, Nurses, Techs, Physical Therapist, All other employees are outstanding with Patient Care. I give it them a five star rating.... I have to say Joni is the unit manager, she is a caring person with good spirits to uplift up patients along with the, Unit Nurses, Tammy, Trish, Amanda, Nick and Jonas. I had stayed at this place several times over the past 5 years. My prior stays were just okay,but this time I am very dissatisfied. I have chosen to terminate my dialysis and die a peaceful death. The other nursing and rehab facilities in the area are completely unacceptable,so I chose Whiting Gardens to live out my remaining time, 2 nurses, Tammy and Trish are over and above wonderful. The aides are a mixed bag. One aide left me sitting on the side of the bed for 2 hours,only with a hospital gown on. My call light was on this whole time. When he came back,he said he wasn't even there,and had other patients to take care of so I told him I didn't trust him to get me off the toilet in a timely manner. He said "we'll get yourself another aide.I reported him, learned he was agency. Typicall

Whiting Gardens Rehab had it's residents Thanksgiving diner and it was wonderful the food was top notch staff all helped get it served to the residents and everyone was very happy, The Activities Department did a Great job the Director of Acativities went beyond to insure everyone was well taken care our Kitchen Director and his staff made great food it was just so wonderful for our residents made me proud to be part of the serving team. I just want to Thank everyone for stepping up to make it as wonderful as it was. So Thank You All you are the Best.

My brother was recently in Whiting Gardens for about 9 weeks. I visited him 3-4 times per week, so I became very familiar with the facility (or at least, the North Wing) and its staff. Everyone in the North Wing was pleasant, caring, highly responsive, and professional. Nurses Amanda, Trish, Joanie, and Lisa were very attentive to my brother’s needs. They also readily answered all of my questions, and gladly responded to my requests for additional help or information as needed. The therapy staff - Frank, Bob, Eric, Stephanie, and Amanda - worked absolute wonders with my brother! Upon his admission, my brother had been unable to walk, or often even sit, without hunching over or losing his balance. He left the facility using a walker with with great posture and confidence.
