White Oak Charleston was a savior to me. I am only 56 but I had a bad fall and needed physical therapy and occupational therapy. White Oak provided excellent services for these, but it was also a nursing home. I am a disabled vet so the va sent me here for treatment. The pt/ot staff was amazing, all if them, but my two were outstanding. The medical staff were all polite, very nice, and extremely professional. I've learned to be quiet and watch and listen and I walked that place many times and never heard a bad word spoken to a resident. They have an activities director that had things for everyone to do from parties to Bible studies. The administrators were approachable and extremely helpful. The main administrator i already considered a friend by the third day, and as a bonus he played fo

My mom has been hospitalized and in rehab since mid June. She's been in White Oak Manor since July. The staff and her care team have been phenomenal! They are extremely skilled, responsive, and the level of compassion and empathy they display warms my heart. My deepest gratitude goes to: Patti, Debbie, Natasha, Tiffany, Monica, Stephanie, Jessica, Devin, Bailey, Shalena, Kim, Cara, Theresa, Kyia, Darlene, Malique, Dr. Fay, and Anisha! Thank you for bringing your "A Game" EVERYDAY!

I did not have a good experience except for the 2 young women who gave me 30 minutes of Physical Therapy once a day. I was sent to Rehab because I had an infection in my bladder so needed Physical Therapy as well as medical care for the Foley catheter. Many of the staff—- nurses, doctors, medical technicians did not wear uniforms or visible ID, nor did they introduce themselves when they entered my room. I never knew who was treating me or why. There was no communication between nurses at shift change, so the night nurse did not know how I was that day and the day nurse did not know how I was during the night. One night the on duty nurseSimple thing….the white board was not filled in letting me know what day it was or the name of my nurse for the day. I was given new Rx without explana

My mother has been at White Oak for close to a year and a half. We have found the staff to be kind and very accommodating. They have lots of activities for the residents to take part in. As well as opportunities for the residents to share concerns or ask questions of the staff. I appreciate all they do for my mother and my family.

I would give negative stars if I could. My grandmother died here due to negligence in November 2023. She fell out of bed and laid on the floor for hours before someone came to her. She broke her femur and had bruises all over her body. Different people gave us different versions of what happened and we couldn't get a straight answer. She laid on that cold floor over 5 hours and was 94 years old. When my parents visited the next morning, my father found her lying on the floor of her room. He had to get her into bed and they finally transferred her to Trident Hospital. The charge nurse there told me they had multiple negligence cases from White Oak that day alone. Once at the hospital, we started inspecting her body. She had dry, cracked skin everywhere and hadn't been bathed in God knows ho
