Westport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

The worst facility by far! My grandmother didn’t make it to a room because I refused to leave her in their care. The 1st floor smelled of urine and the 2nd floor smelled like poop. Staff was no where to be found. The patients looked as if no one were helping them. There was no order and patients were all over the place. Elevator was broken. Staff seemed lost and had the attitude of not caring.

I was discharged from VCU medical center to Westport health and rehabilitation center for physical therapy after my spinal surgery. The staff here in Westport treated me with dignity and respect especially nurse aide Mike Palmer. His communication and customer service skills were at the top level which provided me was excellent medical care as well to the other residents here. I like to than Mike Palmer as the other staff members in Westport health and rehabilitation center for a job well done

If I could rate this facility a zero I would. My son was in this facility in 2020 to 2021. I posted a review at the time and I noticed it has been removed, so I'm posting a review again so people can make informed decisions. My son was bedridden and because he was not receiving any therapy he was moved downstairs in the Alzheimer's unit. The residents I saw looked unkept and it reeked of urine. I saw a few workers, but only one was working hard.

I truly appreciate the compassionate care my brother is receiving at Westport. The nurses are attentive and always take the time to answer my questions and address any concerns, following up with the doctor when needed. The speech therapist and rehabilitation team have been wonderful, and the office staff has been kind and very helpful as well. I’m grateful for the dedication and support shown by everyone involved in his care.

Had a very dear friend who was transferred here after hospitalization. Staff was friendly and caring. The facility however could use some work. Place smelled like urine and was not very clean. Halls were crowded with equipment which could be a safety hazard if there was a fire. OT and PT were very good.
