Westfield Animal Hospital

Took my cat in to groom/shave some matted fur and clip nails. Vet said she was due for some shots and recommended some routine bloodwork as well. Naturally, I agreed. THEY CHARGED ME $815!!! $100 just to look at her... $100 to shave 2 small spots of matted fur... $315 for the bloodwork they suggested I do. I couldn't believe it. We did full chemotherapy appointments for our dog that cost less than this. THEN, it took a month to actually get the results of the bloodwork (for which I had to call twice to request)... and no explanation of what I was even looking it. You would think for the insane money they charged me, that they might timely send the results and give a courtesy call to explain what those results meant. I hate to leave negative reviews of businesses, especially after being a long time patient but since Dr Jablecki left, this vet group has gone completely downhill. The wait time to speak with someone is always crazy long. They can never fit your pet in for sick visits and are now recommending emergency vets 20 minutes away ($400 to treat an ear infection? No thanks). They gave my dog the wrong medication last time and I’m wondering if anyone even bothered to check his records. I am giving them two stars because when we can actually get an appointment, the vet techs and vets are really great, but having to deal with the front desk, the inability to get an appointment in a reasonable time, and lack of staff has made the decision for us to seek out another vet. Just saw Dr DeSimone...she was awesome...super friendly and thorough..took the time to actually explain things to me. I brought in my 17 year old cat for a constipation issue. Did not try to push any further testing which is rare to find a vet that doesn't. I can't say enough about her..absolutely wonderful! Best veterinarian I've seen in a long time!

Westfield Animal Hospital is back on track. I was not happy with this office the last few times I visited or called, but today I can honestly say things are looking good. The staff was wonderful and friendly and the receptionist was exceptional. Please keep up the good work! Love you guys!

We do not recommend Westfield Animal Hospital! We have lived in 9 different states and have had 10 different Veterinary Services and this location is the absolute worst! They are only beneficial for a well check that is scheduled. They have ZERO accommodation for any concerns with your pet. I have three specific situations to share regarding three separate visits and different pets! First, we called to make an appointment for our Great Dane that had never been there (other pets of ours had been) she was sick, and they could not offer an appointment for more than a week. We took her immediately to a different Vet, and they helped. A second situation where on a Friday at about 3:15 I called and said our 1yr old dog had eaten half of a dishcloth and could they please see her and induce
