If you’re looking for an honest, no-BS veterinarian who’s straight to the point, doesn’t push unnecessary treatments, and has very fair pricing, look no further. We’ve been bringing our dog here since 2020 and every visit has been a genuinely great experience. From a broken arm, to cyst removal surgery, to ongoing care for hip pain and incontinence, we’ve always felt informed, respected, and confident in the care our dog receives. Five out of five every single time.

I've seen so many vets over the years and Dr. Shiarella is definitely the best one. The entire staff is caring and kind. He is superbly smart about so many things. Before doing blood work, he could smell that my girl had kidney disease. He's the only vet that does reasonably priced dental work. And I got used to showing up without an appointment -- now I love it! Much gratitude for Western Animal Clinic.

My wife and I have been bringing our dog to Dr. Shiarella at Western Animal for many years now and really like his straightforward style and the crew at the clinic. Recently we had to escort one of our most beloved dogs across the rainbow bridge and could have not asked for a more compassionate and caring environment for our pooch to move on. We will continue to keep coming here for as long as he is still in business.

I took my four ratties there to get checked on a couple weeks back. One of their (I assume) litter-mates passed from an unknown illness not too long ago. The wait was quite long, but I just read in my car & let some of my girls crawl around in/on the hoodie I was wearing, so that's a non-issue for me. Besides, I had arrived in the afternoon; I imagine morning might be quicker to some degree. Anyways, when it was my turn in the queue, someone came out to the car & let me know, & I followed them inside. The (vet) doc was knowledgeable about rats & took a couple extra measurements (my girl, Milk, is bit on the heftier sife already—such a cutie) just to make sure evererything was okay with my ladies. I had an amazing experience at this vet! They were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and they took the time to thoroughly explain everything about my cat’s condition. The assistant and the front desk staff were also wonderful – very friendly and helpful. While we did wait about 1.5 hours in our car, it was absolutely worth it. The vet's care and attention made it all worthwhile. Plus, the prices were extremely reasonable – probably the most affordable vet I've been to. My cat had an infection in his back foot, likely from a fight with another animal, and they treated him with steroids and antibiotics. I’m so grateful for their excellent service and care!
