West Town Pharmacy

I've been using this pharmacy for a few years since leaving the RiteAid on Baltimore Ave, and unfortunately they are not much better than the RiteAid was. My biggest complaint is that on multiple occasions they have been closed and unreachable during their posted business hours. This is simply unacceptable for a pharmacy. As a result, I (and probably others) have had to have my doctor call in new prescriptions to other pharmacies so I can get the medication I need. Additional issues include: - They do not autofill my monthly prescriptions, so I have to call every month to request a refill. - They do not notify you when the refill is ready for pickup. - They have never been able to accept my FSA card for payment so I've had to file claims after the fact. - They often are unreachable by pho

Never knew what I was missing until I finally tried an independent pharmacy. West Town is much faster and more convenient than the large chains, kinder, friendlier, more helpful, etc. It's probably a better work environment for the staff, too. They often include a small piece of candy with your order, I don't have much of a sweet tooth but it's still nice. Make sure to bring cash for copays though!

My favorite West Philly pharmacy. Cash only. Ask for help with generics, they always find something under $20.
