West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab Center

Dismal place for your love ones. The majority of the staff were rude and some treated patients poorly. The facility put on a “big show” on admission day, asking about the patients dining preferences and hobbies, then turned around and served the same unpalatable “slop” unfit for most patients. The facility was/is old and outdated with little room for recreation. There were no single units for purchase, making it extremely uncomfortable for those patients desiring privacy and personal comfort. The so called garden/ patio was about 6x8 feet located in the alley! Yes the alley. The therapy OT and PT was marginal and very brief. The post care case management referrals were horrific. Case worker did not return any calls. So thankful that my mother’s care at that facility was short term

2022 was my worse year .. this place need to be shut down completely.. although myself & my siblings are still grieving this place DID our mother Dirty (she’s deceased now) passed away right in there..(no answers)(but remember God sits high and look Low) I pray everyone involved is asking HIM for forgiveness.. Amen

It would've been a higher rating from me .I reported the two times I had visited my sister mostly everyone treats me with respect. But th e second tome i came we visited in her room with my.pup who she loves dearly. I font know the m lady thar scolded us in the lobby No one came nurse to give her a pass so we could not leave we were saying our goodbyes my pup was sleeping on her nice and quiet just us talking and this one heavy set woman standing behind the receptionist was nasty and verbal about us leaving when instead of getting the nurse and getting my sister a pass she did nothing but over and over to get out with the dog when I got paperwork all us fine eith shots etc no problem from anyone else but her. She needs yo ho or have a goof talking to hie not to be rude with visitors I've b

My experience upon entry was refreshing. It was refreshing because West Oaks exceeds many “nursing homes” I have been too. I noticed the cleanliness onsite. The floors are shining, the baseboards are shining and the walls are clean. The staff is bright and bubbly and actually seemed happy at work. I believe you are your environment and working in such a well kept environment, can uplift not only the staff morale but also it benefits the patients to be in a clean environment, helps them in my opinion to keep their dignity and integrity and makes for a pleasant stay. I’m proud of West Oaks for standing out amongst the multitude of nursing homes in the Metro Detroit area. The Culinary team here is nothing short of Awesome. they go above and beyond to excel services for their residents. the kitchen is always clean and orderly and put together, and lets not mention the TEAM. If you need a definition of the word, check into them. Thanks for all you do!
