West 9th Family Dentistry

The worst place to go to! There is no reliable or consistent doctor in this establishment. The male doctor was very rude and dismissive to my concerns. The doctor told me one thing and then when I went back he said something completely different. This establishment destroyed my moler and tried to cover it up. And now they want me to pay each time I have an issue with my moler when the doctor never said anything about paying. This is malpractice! They want to take no responsibility for what they have done and just make you sign papers without explaining anything to you.

I don't even know where to start. Dr. Ratner is an amazing dentist. He is very attentive and detailed oriented in making sure you understand everything about the procedure from start to finish. He gives encouragement while the procedure is going on which I think is what makes him an awesome dentist. He really cares about his patients. Cassandra is so wonderful! She always goes out of her way to make sure everything is taken care of with the patients. I called for an emergency and she was able to accommodate me immediately. I am glad that I was referred to them because they are really good.

For years my insurance been denying work done on my teeth. Cassandra suggested taking pictures of my teeth to show the insurance how bad it actually is since the X-rays won’t show. Sure enough the insurance approved the work! During my appointments Michelle (the assistant) made sure I was comfortable since I was nervous. She helped take my mind off of my nerves and told me everything will be alright which to my surprise it was! Not only did the work go smoothly but Dr Ratner also made sure I was comfortable and wasn’t in pain during the procedure. He is attentive and gives encouragement while the procedure is going on. I always had trouble finding a good dentist until I went to this office. The front desk was nice, the assistant was also nice,caring and showed sympathy and empathy to my emotions and how I was feeling about myself because of how my teeth were. She encouraged me to continue coming and told me how great the dentist is from her heart not because she works there. When the dentist came in she told me what needed to be done and how to improve my dental hygiene. Not only did the doctor took her time explaining what she saw on the X-rays; she has given me my confidence back. I needed work done and it was amazing how fast my insurance responded and how quick they got me in to start the work. Dr. Ratner is an excellent dentist. THE BEST IN NYC. He made me feel very comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. Went over preventative care so I don't have to deal with complications/difficulties down the line. I highly recommend him. Staff was friendly and kind too!
