Wentworth-Douglass Hospital

I have nothing but good things to say about my most recent experience at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital! Had a same day surgery yesterday and all the staff I encountered was amazing! From Emily in surgical scheduling to Angel in billing to every single nurse and doctor i had on my care team I felt respected, heard, accommodated, and safe and actually cared for. Wonderful experience!

I had my baby at this hospital a few days ago and the team was helpful. I wish I could remember all the nurses/doctors/midwives names (I do recall Rachael, Emma, and Jada) but they were all fantastic. My delivery did not go how I expected for my 3rd baby and things were complicated but they walked me through everything and were so helpful and I felt safe the entire time.

I agree with others on the bad reviews. It's so very easy to complain about something and much more difficult to compliment it because of you just forget. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with this Hospital. It didn't matter the department that I worked with. Whether it was labs, Imaging, doctors, the scheduling department on the phone ECT I'll have met an exceeded any expectation I had. As others have mentioned coming from another state where healthcare was around every corner I had no idea what coming to the New Hampshire Maine area would bring. The people here are compassionate and caring. I find them to be much more caring than their counterparts in Massachusetts. I would not hesitate to come here for any type of healthcare need. Have always had positive experiences here. Have been to the emergency room, had surgeries, seen drs - they have all been kind and understanding

Anytime I’ve brought my toddler/baby here, they are always attentive and fast as possible baring in mind they are likely short staffed. Always compassionate and conclusive. An emergency c section was my biggest fear during my pregnancy, and unfortunately that is what had to happen during my daughters delivery but they made it as quick as possible and it’s thanks to them my daughter made it safe and healthy. The healing process and scarring was easy and minimal too, for such a major surgery. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
