Wellstar Sylvan Grove Medical Center

I was seen as a patient for a virus that I contracted from my son. Unfortunately, I had to miss a day of work 01/04 due to being ill before I was able to be seen at Sylvan Grove. I did attempt to come in the day before my visit 01/04, but I was unable to stay because of the overflow of patients ahead of me. I was seen the following morning, on 01/05/26. During the appointment, the doctor asked what day I would like to return to work and even asked if I needed to stay out until Sunday. I explained that I did not need additional days off, but I did ask if he could excuse the one day I had already missed due to being sick. He stated that he could not provide an excuse for that day because I was not seen on that specific date. I am raising this concern because I did make an effort to be seen

My husband came here in sept due to a suspected blood clot. He asked before he checked in if they had an ultrasound machine. They told him no and he said he was going to go somewhere else as he knew that would be needed. The lady at the desk talked him into staying anyways. So of course he goes back and the doctor says he needs an ultrasound and tells him to go to Griffin hospital. He was told by the doctor that he would not be charged because they did NOTHING!! Well guess what, that was a LIE. We emailed about it and were told they would not take this bill off. It is MORE than the one at Griffin who actually treated him. Which is insane. They did nothing to him and now we have to pay over $1,000 for them to do not one thing to him. We will not go back and we will be sure to tell everyone

This has to be the worst hospital in Ga. Brought my infant daughter here as referred by the pediatrician. There were zero people in the waiting room when we arrived. We had to wait a crazy amount of time before being seen for a 5 minute test. Many patients came in after us and were all seen before us. How can you make an infant child wait so long? Needless to say we will be getting a new pediatrician and never return here. God forbid there was an actual emergency.

Dont go here if you are seriously hurt. Walked in with a head pouring blood and limping with limited movement. After 3 hours we were finally seen and informed of having a broken spacula, broken neck and deep head lack. Then transferred to a different hospital just for them to inform us the “broken neck” was not infact broken it was dislocated. They also said the wait was based off severity of the patient so I guess all the symptoms listed above aren’t considered severe. Just go ahead and make the extra 30 min drive to somewhere else.

The most disgusting facility I’ve ever stepped in, told me my son was not wheezing when in fact he had pneumonia! I wouldn’t even bring my cat here tbh. Walked in there wasn’t even anyone up front for check in for 5-7 mins. I feel bad for the people that have no choice but to go here :(
