An ER which is overwhelmed and cannot provide the best of medical care to all. I arrived by ambulance having been sent by my doctor from her office as I was experiencing chest pains. I arrived at Kennestone, Marietta and was placed in a hallway. Granted there was a poor soul in front of me who had been transported from Dobbins with a traumatic injury! The Emt's waited with me and I was seen next. It took about an hour before I saw a nurse. She saw me in the hallway. They did a cardiogram and vitals and then I was told by the EMTs that I was being transported to a room.....But not so fast....Instead I was taken by wheel chair into the main waiting room of the Emergency Room and told by the EMT's to wait there and someone would call me. There had to be at least 100 people packed into that ro
I delivered my first baby here and this is the best hospital to deliver at. I am so happy with my experience here. Every staff member that I encountered were kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and so so kind. I saw many faces during my stay and everyone was just so awesome. As a first time mom I was very nervous but the staff made me and husband so comfortable. When I have my next baby I will come back here to deliver.
I’m still traumatized from my stay at the hospital. I went in for a stint in my carotid artery, after being cleared by my cardiologist, Dr Cara’s. While in recovery I had a cardiac arrest, they placed 5 stints in and around my heart. They put me in CCU, where care was a joke. I developed an upper respiratory infection and they told me that is what I had, never test for Covid, flu, or RSV, absolutely nothing. They sent me home, I coughed all night and the next day was transported to piedmont emergency room because I couldn’t breathe. They did the test and put me on antibiotics. They did a ct scan as well as heart/lung exrays. They said I has pneumonia. The cardiologist told me he wanted to do a heart catheter on me and I asked him why, he said to be sure what the doctors at kennestone was w
My son was admitted to Kennestone Hospital with pneumonia 2/19-2/24...but during his stay, Dr Paul Edjua who was his admitting phys, decided to stop giving him his BP meds & his lasix. In stopping the lasix, my son begin to retain fluid, he looked like someone had pumped him up with air!! His arms looked like he was deformed...I had to demand that he give him his meds!!! He also didnt want to give him his pre meds prior to the transfusion, & I had to demand that also!!! The hospital would not take accountability for what he did. And this dr wanted to discharge him with all this fluid, which could be dangerous to the point of death. I refused the discharge and appealed that decision, because it was just too dangerous! They made a decision within 12 hours...and the appeal board agreed with
I visited the hospital on February 19, arriving at approximately 5:00 PM, and remained there until around 10:30 PM. While I understand that emergency departments can be extremely busy, I would like to share a concern regarding the conduct of the nurse practitioner who was on duty during this time frame. During this period, the nurse practitioner’s behavior was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. There was a clear lack of basic communication and respect toward patients and families. Simply requesting a brief conversation with the patient required approximately one and a half hours of waiting, despite repeated polite requests. At no point were these requests aggressive or inappropriate. Additionally, I observed that the nurse practitioner discouraged others from speaking with us. The patie
