Wellstar Kennestone Medical Records

On 5/18/25 between 10a-11a I visited the Medical Records Department on Campbell Hill, in an attempt to get a CD of images that I had done several months prior. I was hopeful that the copies might be expedited due to my wanting to review them prior to having a medical appointment the following day. I was pleasantly surprised to have my request immediately responded too. Moreover the receptionist (wish I had gotten her name) was absolutely wonderful. She was most kind and helpful, assisting me with questions I had about the form, immediately forwarding the information to the appropriate department then giving me directions to that department for pickup. If there were more than 5 stars, the young lady most definitely would have earned them. Thank you once again for your kindness.

I am unable to walk due to an injury sustained earlier this week. I have been told by the VA that I need a copy of the X-rays and CT scan before I can get an orthopedic appointment. When I requested these records from the Kennestone Hospital Medical Records department, they told me that it could be 5-7 working days before I could get all the medical records I need. Why? These records are all electronic now. This simply means I will have to wait another 5-7 days to get an orthopedic appointment that who knows how long that will be to get. I hope I never have to use Kennestone Hospital if this is how they treat patients. No wonder the Medical records department has a one star rating. To me, that’s about 1 star too many. I guarantee you that their billing department acts quicker.

I requested my birth records and they told me they didn't have them and were not legally obligated to have them because they were from a different hospital (that they bought out). I'm getting an attorney.

Horrible service. Won’t give me my own medical records. Woman hung up 3 times.

They don’t answer the phone.
