WellSpan Urgent Care - West York

I am extremely frustrated with the prescription process I experienced today. My doctor informed me that my medication for strep throat would be ready within the hour, so I went to pick it up at Walgreens around 10:30 a.m. At that time, I was told they had not received anything and that it might take some time to come through. I checked back with Walgreens two hours later and still nothing had been received. I then called WellSpan and was told the prescription had to be resubmitted because the doctor had entered the incorrect dosage the first time. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this resulted in yet another delay. After waiting an additional two hours, Walgreens still had not received the prescription. I spoke directly with a pharmacist who confirmed they had nothing on file

Timely check-in with friendly staff. I came in with a moderate ankle sprain. Provider listened, asked questions and seemed very knowledgeable. They did an X-ray and quickly concluded it wasn’t broken. They gave me a walking boot. I highly recommend WellSpan Urgent Care West York.

Everyone in the office was very kind and helpful. My son got a lemon seed stuck in his ear and he had the best time getting it removed. They were laughing with him, explaining every step clearly and got it out pain-free. He wanted me to write this review 🥰 We both say thank you.

I am very upset with this Urgent Care. My son went there not once, but twice with what he thought was strep throat. They swabbed him TWICE on two different occasions and twice they told him he did not have strep. He came to my work place to see a PA. They swabbed his throat and within minutes he tested positive for strep. I’m not happy with Wellspan Urgent Care. He ended up getting a shot of penicillin and his tonsills were so swelled they had pus pockets. If he would have waited any longer he could have been in the hospital. I think he should be reimbursed. He spent over $100 only to be told he didn’t have strep. The lack of medical discrepancies is not acceptable from this place. I would not recommend this place whosoever!! Not a happy mom!

Such a great experience at this location! Dr Tate was probably the best urgent care doctor we have seen. Super friendly.
