WellSpan Urgent Care - Hanover

I've seen some recent negative reviews of this particular Urgent Care, so I thought I'd share my experiences. I've been here twice when it was more convenient than seeing my regular doctor, and I've honestly been more impressed with the services here, despite a more expensive copay (which isn't the fault of anyone who works there). Not that any WellSpan I've been to has been bad, but this Urgent Care specifically has been exceptional. The front and intake staff are always very nice. Kristen (the PA) is also great, she actually listens, which can be hard to find someone who does. Both times I've been in - she gave me exactly what I needed, had me in/out within an hour, and feeling better within a few days. After being asked by an on nurse to go to the ER or urgent care to get an EKG. We went to the urgent care feeling it would be quicker and cheaper. After arriving and them making it pretty known they didn’t want to see my pregnant wife the decided to still do a test for the provider to then come back and tell us to got to the ER and that it wasn’t just about my wife. But hey they got their money and were able to get some digs in before we left. Needless to say don’t go here. Providers name was Valerie and must hate her job taking care of people.

I’ve used this place several times since moving to Hanover a couple years back. Last week I had an head and chest congestion and called off work. I went in to get an drs note and to get checked out and the “provider” said they “wouldn’t back date an Drs note for missing work” I guess you need to be psychic and pre plan getting sick. The funny thing is I’ve had this exact scenario happen and never had an issue getting notes for work. Doctors anymore are a joke to busy playing on their phone in the back instead of actually doing what they should be doing. Avoid this place! Ignorant staff and incompetent doctors

The employees and Dr here were absolutely fantastic. They were extremely helpful, listened to all my concerns, and took care of me. I will 100% return here in the future. Wonderful staff and service! Thank you again!

I have never experienced a facility that would not accept my Medicare Humana, and my Tricare for Life. There was also a sign posted that said they accept veterans for urgent care. So the receptionist offered to call the VA for CCN. Community care network. Then she proceeded to push my issue to the side and began checking in other patients. Meanwhile I am waiting and in pain. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I will be contacting both my health insurance to verify if what she was telling me was accurate.
