WellSpan Pharmacy at York Hospital

Have to navigate through the hospital main entrance, then security, then the badging desk, then the elevator, then multiple hallways. All the while, a direct entrance to the pharmacy used to be available. Due to “renovations” it has been closed. An absolutely unacceptable pharmacy experience that makes CVS’s worst days seem like heaven. Do not patronize this pharmacy until they reopen their own entrance. Even the staff agreed with me. 0/10. Find anywhere else!

I received text notification from WELLSPAN YORK HOSPITAL PHARMACY saying my prescription was ready for pick-up and also what my co-pay would be... I drove 35mins to come pick up my medicine just for them to tell me it's not filled and wont be for a few days. The incompetence of this pharmacy is surreal.

My experience was awful. The pharmacist as well as the rest of the staff are condescending and rude. They will, absolutely, discriminate against you, based on the medication you are filling too. I am on a non-narcotic medication that is also NOT a controlled substance. A month or so ago i call to refill my blood pressure medication. They said that I have no refills, and they would reach out to my provider. They gave me a 2–3-day supply and said I would hear back. From that point, it took them another two weeks to have my medication. TODAY, I ran out of my Gabapentin. I am well past due to refill the medication, so it has nothing to do with not being able to be filled, but, just like the b.p med a month or so ago, they told me there are no refills on my Gabapentin. I explained to them that

Quite possibly the worst pharmacy in York, PA. But it is York Hospital. I shouldn't have expected so much of them :P

Awful service and they NEVER have the orders ready. Even when I KNOW it should've been done a week ago. It's really a shame Wellspan closed Dallastown because they set the standard on how a pharmacy should operate. Always pleasant and I never had to wait longer than a day. Disappointing indeed and I will move on to someone outside of Wellspan
