WellSpan Internal Medicine - Apple Hill

I had a routine lab visit where I used my Medicare card, but I was still incorrectly billed as self-pay and sent a $400 bill based on inflated charges. After calling, it was eventually fixed, but it shouldn’t take patient intervention to correct something so basic. This kind of billing mistake—especially in a system as large as WellSpan—can easily harm vulnerable patients. I hope this review encourages others to double-check their bills and for WellSpan to improve their billing accuracy.

From the moment I walked in , until the time I was escorted to my ride - everyone was so genuinely nice and thorough. Check in staff was sweet and very kind. All of the nurses were attentive and caring . The anesthetic team were so detail oriented and made me feel so comfortable . My procedure went smooth. Recovery was a breeze , thanks to the team today at Apple Hill. I genuinely appreciate everyone I encountered today. I appreciate the level of professionalism and bedside manner.

Father-in-law was recommended by hospital to continue care at Apple Hill Acute Care, so we talked him into giving this place a chance, to which he conceded. Only to later find out that Apple Hill told the hospital that it would be a "better fit" for him with a skilled nursing facility. Had to break the news to him about the change of plans. Needless to say he certainly needed acute care. Totally unprofessional experience. Avoid.

My doctor always has time to listen to my concerns.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I had my first appointment yesterday with the resident Dr. Ramos. He spent so much time talking with me and truly seemed to care about the issues I am having. His supervising physician Dr. Amparo came in after just to confirm the the info Dr. Ramos had given me and Dr. Amparo was just as wonderful as the resident. The front staff and nursing staff was also friendly and caring. I highly recommend this internal medicine facility!
