WellSpan Imaging - WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital

Do not use the imaging services at Gettysburg Hospital. I was NOT informed verbally of my estimate and now have a bill 5x the rate of other providers in Gettysburg. I did not attest to receiving an estimate and they are claiming they checked with the person who checked me in but I’m certain that’s not true as the gender of the person they claim they spoke with is not the same as the person I spoke with. The justification for the outrageous prices was nonsense (“big corporate prices” and “trauma hospital”) and customer service (Kira A.) was flippant. Avoid at all costs! Confirm your estimate because their prices are nonsense and they are going to say you received it verbally even if you NEVER did.

Johnna and Glenda in radiology were wonderful, kind, funny and welcoming. Also Dave who performed the heart ultrasound... was so patient and went out of his way to make us feel at ease. Thank you to the Imaging Department at Gettysburg Hospital for being truly AMAZING!!!

I am having surgery this month in York at the WellSpan Hospital and Rehabilitation with one of WellSpan's Neurosurgeons, so they ordered additional images as part of the pre-op. I live in Chambersburg so was pleased that I could get them in Gettysburg, very close to where I live. I'm reserving my review of the York locations til after my surgery and post-op visit. But so far I am very impressed with this group. They must treat their employees well because at both locations, everyone from the front desk to the medical professionals have been so helpful, friendly, and professional. They were able to work me in pretty quick and even gave me a late appointment for my c-scans, asking me to arrive a little early for the x-rays.
