I had my family establish care here with Alison Smith and it did not take long for me to pull our entire family from her care. She dismissed a lot of my concerns at appointments, while simultaneously offering to refer us out for several others… no medical advice, no reassurance… just pretty much wanted to either brush it under the rug or give it to someone else to deal with. When I expressed my concern about the possible link between vaccinations and SIDS, her response was “well SIDS is higher in boys than in girls” as if that’s supposed to reassure me?? She also told me that my infants hair will cover her flat head once it grows out or she can refer me out “if that’s what I want” once again no medical guidance whatsoever. I just started seeing William McDermott. And he is the best doctor I have ever dealt with! I did not feel rushed. I felt very relaxed and was able to freely discuss all issues and he was very informative with explaining my diagnosis ! He very quickly handled my issues with the pharmacy in less than 24 hrs. And took my pain seriously and didn’t brush it off. Very very pleased I have found a great doctor for all my future visits .

Canceled my kids appointment because we was 2 minutes over the dumb 5 minute grace period. I drove 30 minutes and got stuck in traffic. Wellspan is the worst we will not be coming back here!!!!

Terrible Experience — No Compassion or Care I’m extremely disappointed and upset with how this doctor treated my mother. She recently had back surgery and has been in constant pain, barely able to do simple daily tasks. When she went in for help, instead of listening or offering any kind of support, the doctor told her that the help was only for people “in pain” — even though she clearly is in pain and trying her best to recover. It was heartbreaking to see her leave the office feeling ignored, disrespected, and hopeless. A doctor should care about their patients, especially someone who just went through major surgery. Horrible and disrespectful treatment. The doctor who attended me treated me like a liar, implying that I wasn’t in pain. WellSpan has definitely gone downhill. I need them to fill out some paperwork for me, and they’re saying that the service I’m requesting isn’t necessary — as if they lived with me. I will definitely be looking for another healthcare provider because there is a lack of professionalism here. I have never felt so humiliated in my life.
