My mother was recently here for respiratory therapy after a hospital stay with pneumonia. From day 1 they spoke down to her as if she were a mental patient (far from it). She had a roommate who was left to sit in her feces for hours until shift change because the CNA had “had it with her” after the elderly woman, who was trying to hold onto her while being moved back to bed, “dug her nails into CNA’s arm” prompting CNA to throw her back in wheelchair to sit for hours. Then the woman’s diarrhea was left on the floor and not cleaned for days. Mom would try to ring the desk and she was constantly ignored by staff. Food was barely edible. Mom received decent Respiratory therapy but when the therapist went on vacation for a week, no substitute was provided so she was there for a week longer fo

This place is terrible. Dirty, uncompassionate. My dad was there for only rehabilitation. After two days we took him out. He is in his late 80's with dementia. My mom was visiting him and for six hours nobody ever came in to ask if he needed something to drink or eat. My mom went out to get him some food and was the one giving him water and cranberry juice the entire time NOBODY came in. My mom used the ladies room and when she returned my dad was walking down the hallway with only his underwear and the staff was laughing. This place is disgraceful. I would never recommend it. When they finally brought him dinner, it was a small waffle kids size with two strawberries. Nothing else. He was so hungry. My mom went out and brought him a sandwich and some fruit. My mother recently went to Wells Nursing Home for rehab. What resulted from day 1 was a nightmare for her and our family. By the second week she had contracted rashes due to poor care and an unclean environment. I was informed the facility is under new management and most of the seasoned staff had moved on due to the new, poor working conditions. She was denied care by a doctor. I was told I could not speak to the doctor concerning her suddenly decreasing health and was not provided with proper documentation by a doctor. They refused to let me take her to her own physician. Long story short she was removed from the facility by me. They were refusing to let her go so we had to jump through many hoops to get her adequate care. For the sake of the elderly, this facility should be investigated

My mother was admitted to the Wells House nursing home for rehabilitation of a broken hip. Her stay, thus far, has been a nightmare . The family has had to advocate and argue with the staff daily. At first, the administration and social worker were very pleasant to work with. However, the actual care my mother is receiving is minimal at best. We have to call due to the lack of proper PT as well as basic daily needs. After she requested to use the bathroom, no one came back to assist her. There are many more situations as well. Unless you are prepared to fight for what is right for your loved one, find a different facility. It is a shame, the Wells House used to provide top care years ago. I am a concerned citizen advocating for all elderly people.

At first not happy with same of the aids, the nurses were really good and always to answer any question. Their comfort care they are great. If you have a loved one there and there is any issues go to the head nurse of the Wells House and she is very good about taking care of the problem
