My mom is at Royal Park and I come to see her weekly. Everyone of the staff is caring. There is always a nurse checking in on her to make sure she is coming to the dining room. The food is delicious with a menu that offers a variety of foods. There is always an alternate choice if you don't like the main dish. There's other options to choose from with 2 hour's advance notice, such as a grilled cheese sandwich. The activities are so fun, Denise does a fantastic job coordinating music groups to perform and original activities like shark week. There was also a Olympics party at the closing of the games which the staff performed and even dressed up! It was a blast! If you call, you might get a friendly voice like Joanne, Doreen or even Amy. They all love what they do and it shows! This is a
Deeply Unprofessional Front Desk Conduct My family’s experience with Wedgewood Assisted Living was made unnecessarily painful by the person who serves as the face of their business—the front desk attendant. Every visit to see my late mother was met with rudeness, dismissive behavior, and a complete lack of empathy. What is most disturbing is that, on the day after my mother passed away, this same staff member yelled at my wife and daughter. At a time when compassion and professionalism should have been the bare minimum, we were met with hostility and disrespect. It is unacceptable for someone with such a lack of basic courtesy and emotional awareness to be the first point of contact for residents’ families. The front desk represents the tone and values of any care facility, and Wedgewoo
Wedgewood Park (formerly Royal Park) appears to buy good review reports, as our experience was FAR FROM 5 star. Royal Park/Wedgewood Park was recommended by an agent of Care Patrol. It was presented as an active, vibrant place for our relative and we decided to place him there. Relatives were at the facility often to make sure he was settling in well. Red flags appeared early on, after which we decided to continue to have family members present as much as possible. There were repeated issues with calibrating a diabetic diet for him and once an employee came in to check his blood glucose (had a high 333 number and employee said time to get him some orange juice - which by the way could have put our loved one into a diabetic coma!). We opted to have Royal/Wedgwood do the laundry as well but
Royal Park Retirement Center shines brightly in the landscape of senior living, thanks in no small part to its exceptional management team and a cadre of caregivers whose loyalty and dedication to the center span many years. My collaboration with them has offered me an inside view of a community that operates not just with efficiency, but with heart. The leadership of Doreen and Amy stands out as particularly commendable. Their expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment to both residents and staff alike make them standout professionals whom I would recommend a hundred times over. They embody the center's ethos of continuous engagement and care, fostering an atmosphere where residents feel truly at home. Royal Park is distinguished by its vibrant environment, which is a testament to
This was our first experience with helping a loved one (our dad who was 100% blind), move into an assisted living facility. Dad moved in with our help in January 2022 after he decided to divorce his 2nd wife and move out of the marital home. Our first contact was with Amy Stafford, then the marketing director for Royal Park (and now the Executive Director). She has gone above and beyond to make sure our dad was taken care of. She runs a tight ship but also has many "fun" days with her staff and residents. We live out of state but would visit dad frequently and would always get a chuckle seeing her and her staff dressed up in costumes for whatever theme it was that day. The residents seemed to love talking about their costumes as well. The med techs/nursing staff (Angel, Gia, Lisa Ma
