Water's Edge Rehab and Nursing Center at Port Jefferson

The best part about this facility is that my Mom was discharged. Though the place may have improved from their past violations, they are still lacking the proper abilities to do effective rehabilitation. Our Mother was simply put in a wheelchair and the television turned on. The bathroom toilet seat was dirty, the staff took sometime to respond, not to mention she had the same bandage in a wound from January 30th to March! She did have one friendly CNA, however on a whole I would not recommend this facility for anyone needing to recover properly, and the stench in the hallway from the unbathed residents was overwhelming.

I want to thank Dr. Steven Schwartz for excellent service I did not feel pain when he extracted my complicated infected tooth, he guided me through all the steps that he was doing and his assistants were very gentle and helpful. It was very easy to make an appointment and he is in network with Emblem GHI by 1199. I also wanted to mention billing team who is very honest and reasonably priced. They gave me price before hand and explained which portion was not covered. Believe the prices are affordable for bone grafts and implants! I was previously tortured with this tooth for 10 days stayed on antibiotics and was giving false information. So , thank you very much for serving in our community and taking care of health workers!

For the past month I’ve been here, nurses aides and nurses have been phenomenal! The therapy department is top notch. Recreation seems very nice and enjoyable. Shout out to Kathy the nurse and CNA Richardine. Another shout out to Collin the concierge. Overall, I’m very happy and have had a great experience.

My time here at Waters Edge has been very productive. I enjoy physical therapy, especially with John, and occupational therapy with Alex. Both of them are excellent therapists. Colin the director of concierge is fantastic and is always concerned about the residents needs in a prompt and pleasant manner. Jeryl Ann has been most responsive to my needs concerning care as well as finding placement in long term care, she has been helpful navigating the challenges with applying for Medicaid as well. Lauren Belfiore and Theresa Hom, the Nursing Supervisors, have been very helpful and have helped my medical and emotional needs. I had a very positive stay here as a patient! Everyone was lovely and supportive. I would love to acknowledge Tyler, recreation, Colon, concierge, and Linda in nursing they are so caring and amazing at what they do. I recommend this facility to anyone who is in need.
