Walgreens Pharmacy

4 years ago I had a negative experience which I wrote a long review about. Today I had a much better experience so I wanted to update my review. This Walgreens seems to always be relatively busy. Today I went in to get a passport photo and when I approached the photo section I was greeted by an employee who indicated she'd be with me shortly but first needed to handle the line of customers that was forming at the register. After a very short wait she was able to send another colleague over to help me. The passport photo shoot was quick and my photos were ready before I finished my other shopping. I was pleased with how they took care of me and the other customers.

Not a great experience at all. I just moved and have many prescriptions and in the past 3 months have had to have many filled. There was a problem the very first time. They told me my insurance was not right????? I should have 3 cards instead of 2???? I’ve been using the same cards and insurance for years. The next time I was told a medication I needed for severe asthma and COPD could not be covered because the doctor didn’t put in the right codes???? I’ve been using this doctor for a long time and I knew they were wrong to put it nicely. They were going to get in touch with her and have it the next day. Meanwhile I could barely breathe. Four visits or calls later and it was one excuse after another. I was even told I had to be patient!!!!!!!! I finally had to contact my

The pharmacist, pharmacy assistants, and franchise owner have all given me excellent service here. They are perceptive and efficient. I try to be extra-patient with staff at any retail pharmacy, because the big insurers have made their jobs extremely difficult. (How would you like to deal with insurance companies all day long? That’s my idea of hell.) However, in this case I haven’t needed to make a special effort to be understanding.

I'm an elderly woman who used this drugstore about a decade ago when it was owned by Rite-Aid, but after years of them rarely having my prescription ready when it was supposed to be, I eventually bailed and started using another pharmacy.
