Walgreens Pharmacy

I never would have anticipated going to pick up prescriptions at the Walgreens in Great Bend, KS only to be told that the pharmacy isn’t open today. What? How does something like that even happen? If they weren’t the only pharmacy in the area with access to a medication I need, I wouldn’t go there at all. This is just one more reason I don’t use them for anything other than that one specific prescription—and even with that, they still struggle. A simple improvement would be to provide advance notification—whether by text, email, or an update in their app or Google listing—when the pharmacy will be closed. Clear communication would prevent unnecessary trips and improve customer experience significantly.

Used to love Walgreens and only used their pharmacy, but ever since the buyout the pharmacy is terrible. They consistently cancel medication orders whenever they want without contacting the patient, they close randomly any time and you have no way of getting your medications, and insurance seems to be a real challenge for them. Use literally any other pharmacy and you’d be better off.

I called in to make sure they had a medication in, and they said it was in stock. When I went to pick it up a few days later, I was told it was out of stock. I drove over 30 miles to pick this up, and it is a lifesaving medication. This is the 2nd time they have done this, and it is absolutely inexcusable to lie about it being in stock.

Called in two prescriptions on Tuesday—told me they would be ready 11:00 Wednesday. Stopped to pick up FRIDAY after 3 and guess what—was told I had to wait 15 minutes for them to finish filling. POOR customer service!

Terrible service would not recommend, they told me come back at 4:00. I was there at 4:40 and after arguing with them about what my prescription was, they still didn’t have it ready. Will be taking my business elsewhere.
