Walgreens Pharmacy

I moved to fountain and year and a half ago and this pharmacy has never came through with any prescriptions that I have had sent there. Today was the last time I will ever try to get my daughters medications. I was told 2 weeks ago that my secondary insurance didn't cover the medicine so I asked them why they didn't run it through my primary insurance? They then ran the blue cross and blue shield and said it covered the medicine and it would be delivered the next day. I waited and waited for a text but never got one. Went into the pharmacy today and they said they never received the medicine and needed a doctor's approval to change it. This is the conversation I had with them weeks ago and was why I had them run the right insurance so it would pay for the original prescription.

Pretty decent Walgreens, but I mainly deal with the pharmacy. Pharmacy staff are fantastic and have been for years. Unfortunately they are chronicly understaffed (Walgreens pays as little as possible to the pharmacy technicians, because apparently they have very deep pockets but really short, stubby fingers). The techs do the best they can with what they have available. They have a drive thru with two lanes, but one of the lanes is broken so unusable. Often they have to wait for a truck with meds to show up. My best advice is this: avoid the pharmacy around lunch and dinner time. The techs are people doing the best they can, but Walgreens only gives them so much, so try some sympathy/empathy while you wait.

Pharm tech that assisted today was great in communication until the Pharmacy Operations manager Gigi stepped in. Since there was no line I asked about the home delivery service by Walgreens. She told me repetitively about how some medication are heat sensitive in which I already replied I understand. I just signed up for text and I mentioned about the emails I got from Walgreens where I already registered and approved for Home Delivery. But I cannot get my point across with regards to insurance issue that's why my mail delivery was canceled. She said I keep mentioning about the email and that I need to focus on text message that I will start getting. She is referring me to Medicine Shoppe that according to her is not a mail order pharmacy and she didn't want me to get confuse. She's givin

Do not use this pharmacy. They can’t fill it in a timely manner because they have “250 to fill” according to Brandi the manager, They had 4.5 hours to fill it and I politely told her I’m leaving out of town and she told me “maybe”. She was rude and condescending. It always takes over 24 hours to get it filled. She also said it takes over 2 hours to receive it from the dr’s office. Excuses excuses. I’d give a zero if I could. Save your headache, especially if you’re not feeling well because you will not get your medicine in a timely manner… go somewhere else!!!

This pharmacy is awful. It’s really hard to pick up prescriptions because they often randomly close and when you go in they don’t even have the prescription ready. I was told my prescription would be ready around 11am (the request went in at 8am) when I called they said they didn’t even have the antibiotics and it likely wouldn’t be in until after 5pm. Had I known this I would’ve requested a different pharmacy rather than waiting around all morning/day in pain.
