From the moment we arrived at WakeMed Children’s Hospital until the day we left, the entire experience was filled with care, compassion, and professionalism. Every doctor, nurse, and staff member went above and beyond to make sure my son received the best possible care throughout the entire week we were there. They took the time to explain everything to us, answered all our questions, and made sure we always felt informed and supported. The kindness, patience, and dedication of the staff truly made a difficult situation easier to handle. You can tell that everyone there genuinely cares about their patients and their families. We are deeply grateful for the incredible team at WakeMed Children’s Hospital — from the doctors and nurses to the support staff — for treating us not just as patie

I’m giving three stars because the wait time wasn’t long. However, my experience felt off from the moment I arrived. The patient registrar seemed annoyed, which didn’t bother me at first, but she then made a passive-aggressive remark by complimenting my nails to my son instead of directly to me. While I brushed it off, it felt unnecessary—if you have something to say, just say it. I am communicating with you anyway checking him in. When I saw the doctor, he dismissed my concerns without even looking at the pictures I brought, insisting he already knew the issue because my son “seemed fine.” I understand he’s the expert, but dismissing a patient’s input can come across as gaslighting. To improve, listen to patients even if you believe you already know the problem. For the patient registra

Dr. Theresa Flynn gets 5 stars, but the office overall needs some work. Parking is terrible and they don’t give you any instructions prior to your visit. It seems as if they regularly overbook as well, because they are unable to schedule well child visits on time. My child was supposed to be seen again mid January and they didn’t have any available appointments until early March! Unacceptable. It is also an ordeal to schedule a sick visit here. The staff refuse to look at photos, answer basic follow up questions after a visit, or to forward messages to providers so they can call in very common prescriptions, so I ended up going to urgent care or using Teladoc more than I would have liked. I thought UNC Pediatrics in Garner was disorganized, but this office is much worse. I switched as qui

Im extremely frustrated and highly disappointed with the lack of communication from the workers at the front desk. I had an appointment scheduled for my daughter to get her 2 month shots and the appointment was canceled by the pediatrician the morning of and rescheduled a month later, which to me is unacceptable due to it being on such short notice. Next, I’m a Veteran that applied for Champ VA which takes at least 6-8 weeks to process applications and I was made aware the day before this “rescheduled” appointment that I needed to self pay over $300 or else I would be denied care until my insurance becomes active. This would not have been a problem for me if I was made aware of this information in advance, not the day before the appointment. This office had called me numerous times requ

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! I have three children that I have been taking here for years and never any issues up until recently. There was an incident this week with Dr. Monroe. My daughter was ONLY supposed to go in for a check UP for her eczema and asthma. Well THE DOCTOR ended up giving my 14-year-old a Covid shot WITHOUT my consent or her dad‘s consent , the DOCTOR did this behind our back without PARENTAL consent . I AM COMPLETELY LIVID!! I WILL make sure this doctor who allowed this to happen loses her medical licenses . Lawyer up!!!!!
