To help you all out.... The Baggers dont ask whether or not you need paper or plastic because they are being enviromentaly concious. Baggers are trained to place 8 or more items in a bag without cushing items or mixing chemicals. They spend millions and millions of dollars on helping make us a more green aware community. Paper cost too many trees to so we offer plastic as a main source. 2, prices may be higher than elsewhere because VONS offers services that other stores can't. It wouldnt be able to operate a full service floral, bakery, deli, or meat department if not for the prices. Neither would they be able to provide a convient Starbucks or Panda Express.
