Dr. Pfenning is the absolute BEST! She is readily available and genuinely cares for her patients. I LOVE that she started her own independent practice!! Before her practice opened properly, I had a health issue and decided (foolishly) to go to urgent care instead of “bothering” Dr. Pfenning with it. I ended up in the ER, which took 10 hours to be seen and taken care of. A few days later, Dr. Pfenning contacted me and “chastised” me for not contacting her directly - she happened to be reviewing my records and saw that I went to urgent care and the ER - she reminded me that these type things are what she is here to do (even before she was officially open for business!). Dr. Pfenning & her new practice are such an asset for our community. It is so refreshing to be able to spend actual time with your doctor at appointments and feel truly cared for. I left my appointment feeling inspired and hopeful. The office itself is beautiful & calming, and Dr. Pfenning is so easy to talk to. Cannot recommend Vital Roots enough!

What a breath of fresh air! My wife and I signed up for a membership and learned more about our health in just one hour with Dr. Pfenning than we have in the last 20 years combined. I had a medical issue while overseas and was planning to just go to the local Urgent Care in the middle of the night, but remembered I could give Dr. Pfenning  a call instead. Within minutes she was able to assess the situation and make recommendations using local OTC medications.Over the next several days,  she checked in periodically to ensure my condition had gotten better. Back in the US, she did a complete check to ensure my health was okay and continually checked in every few days to see how I was doing. I don't think I have ever had a doctor that proactively checks in on me (it's often the other way around!).
